All The Way Thru the West, South, and end up in the East

Our last day in Bali and our tongues kinda miss the local taste of meals. We decided to go to Warung Nasi Maaaaak about 30 mins ride from Legian using a motorcycle. Actually, we met the owner who is my Husband's high school friend. Open from 9 am to 5 pm every day, they served you the menu thru what we call the "etalase" of a glass rack. So you can see what they cook today and you can choose what you want on your plate. The menu may vary on different days, but most of them are local Indonesian dishes. Warung Nasi Maaaaak is a pretty common thing in Indonesia tiny restaurant called "Warteg" or "warung tegal". So it's a must-try if you plan to eat at Canggu with a local taste.

We Expected a fun part at the end of the day by booking a ticket for Tari Kecak Uluwatu, but a clumsy me, I booked for 30 July instead of June (poor us). So instead of being a sad poor thing, we decided to keep the trip into the south. We can’t get into the Tari Kecak show but still, we want to get into the monkey forest Uluwatu. Before we came in, we were instructed to wear a single scarf for a sacred meaning and a mandatory one for entering the temple.

It’s time to go, and we rush to the eastern part of the Island. Sanur beach. There is a restaurant called “Warung Mak Beng” that served only one menu and just one menu since it opened. Once we came to the place, we have to wait on a long waiting list because they’re so legend and it’s like people all over the place are coming right here. They’ll give you one portion of a big slice of fried fish with sambal and fish soup. You can’t choose what fish would you eat, it depends on what they catch on the same day. We end our meals with hot tea and a very windy night beach wind.
