#3rd Trip: Mt. Andong

"Once a year, go someplace you've never been before "

Well.. hello, after being so busy for about 5 weeks finally last week i have 4 days of holidays. Well even though 3/4 i was busy for preparing final presentation, tests, assignments, reports and a lot of college typical things, i still have a day.......for holiday.

So, i have a friend which he is so in love being in nature, he really love adventure. We went to mount Andong (idk i have to say it a mountain or not, because some people say that it isnt a mountain but i tends to "hill", but lets just say it is a mountain.)

Long before we planned this, i said to my friend that im afraid to go there because i thought that im so faaat, if im so fat so i would easily get tired and as you know that going to a mountain you should have "unbreakable" body (?) i dont really know how to say it hahaha, yeah you know, girls problem, fat. But lucky me, i have him,my trip-mate who always says that it would be fun, i dont have to be afraid, so just go and feel the sensation.

And when the day came, we planned to go to Mt. Andong the next day. Yeah it was so cold out there, and he came to pick me up at 3.30am and we bought some foods and drinks just in case we get hungry(yeah, im easily get hungry). So here we go, travelling from Jogja to Magelang under the dawn sky which is so beautiful. I really want to take a photo of the dawn sky, but as you know that we were using motorcycle....so yeah you know the problem hahaha. About 4.50am we stopped at a gas station, prayed and refueled.

And about 6.00am we arrived at the base camp. Before we reached the mountain we have to walk through footpaths which you can see a lot of views and rice fields. I really love to see rice field, i dont have any reasons to explain why, but i think that seeing views like rice fields between mountains is so peaceful, so calm like all of your problems fade away(?) okay thats too much.

And here we go, at first it was fine because you dont need any struggle to step on the track. At first it was so easy because people who live nearby the mountain have changed the track into easier track which means you just have to step on hand-made stairs. During the trip we met a lot of people, they really friendly, i love to greet them! my trip-mate said that we have to be friendly to another people, especially if you go to nature like mountains, beaches, rivers, or something like that. But you know....who dont love to greet each other? that's so rude.

No need another explanation.....finally we reached the peak! At first it was soooo crowded. So many hikers out there. The peak was soooo colorful because of their tents hahaha
Okay, this is me at Andong peak. Still curious about how i can get there hahahaha
Actually Andong has two peak(commonly said, and photographed), the first one is Andong peak like on my photo, and the other is Alap - Alap peak. You can walk from one peak to another peak by walking through a footpath which is......i dont know to say, you have to be careful because the track is so narrow (?) and directly confronted by ravines....cliffs...? whatever you say. Then, it would be like this
Alap - Alap peak from Andong peak
From Andong peak, we went to Alap - Alap peak. From this peak you can take some photos with Andong peak as your background cause Alap - Alap peak is lower than the Andong peak.
See? how small the track is, be careful guys
After reached Alap - Alap peak we decided to sit and see the views. I really enjoyed those feelings just by seeing those ricefields, villages, streets, and many more. It got a little bit windy up there but you can still feel the warm from the sun on your back, so dont worry, you would not feel really cold. We ate some snacks that we've bought before. After that, we took some photos (again) hahaha. It's not a sin right to take a lot of photos up there? cause i dont know when i will come back again :(

And the last...here goes the photo of the day: Mt. Merbabu from Andong peak! hope that Mt. will be my next trip :p

Have a nice day! have a nice trip!
G.
